Echo Alpin. A new lift for Linga, Linga, Linga…
Brilliantly, for this coming winter season (09/10) the good people who operate the Chatel lift company are replacing the old (pictured) and slow Linga 3 man lift with a super duper, extra fast and shiny new 6 man.
It is 1580m in length and able to carry 2400 people per hour to the top of Col du Linga at 2050m. The lift covers 5.5m per second meaning that it will only take 5 minutes to get to the top. In fact it will be one of the fastest lifts in the Portes du Soleil. Well fancy that!
This new lift means that Alpine Retreat can get you into the heart of the Portes du Soleil even quicker than before. We all know that there is some epic riding to be done on a powder day around here and the new Echo Alpin will help you on your way to getting those first tracks of the day. Nice.
