Your agreement is with Alpine Retreat - Châtel.
Below are the booking terms and conditions of your agreement so please
read them carefully before you book. When you make a booking and we accept
it, a legally binding contract is made.

MAKING A BOOKING AND PAYMENT
All bookings are subject to these booking conditions. When you book a
holiday with Alpine Retreat - Châtel, you must submit
a completed booking form accepting these conditions on behalf of all party
members along with £75 per adult, £30 per child, as a deposit
or the full payment of the holiday cost if booking 8 weeks before departure.
If balance of the holiday is not made in full and on time, we reserve
the right to cancel your booking and to apply the cancellation charges
as set out below. The person signing the booking form must be at least
18 years of age. The party leader accepts responsibility for keeping all
party members informed about booking details. Our agreement will be subject
to English Law and to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
Please note that children under the age of 2 years stay free of charge
on the understanding that they share with parents.

PRICES
Prices for the holiday are quoted in sterling and in euros and payments
can be made in either currency. As we are based in France all prices are
based on an exchange rate of E1.00=£0.62. There will be no surcharges
levied once the full payment of your holiday has been received by Alpine
Retreat - Châtel. Until such time as the full payment has
been received, we reserve the right to pass on to you the amount of any
increases due to currency fluctuations. No increase in costs as a result
of currency fluctuations will be passed on unless the exchange rate changes
by 5% or more. We reserve the right to surcharge you for such currency
fluctuation in the same way the currency fluctuation decreases by more
than 5% will be passed on to you.

SINGLE/EMPTY BED SUPPLEMENTS
A supplement will be payable if guests wish to book a single room or keep
beds empty to ensure exclusive use of the chalet, equivalent to half the
adult price for that week.

CANCELLATION
Cancellation of your holiday by you or any member's of the party should
be made by the party leader and inform us in writing immediately. Cancellation
charges will apply per person as follows:

Cancellation Charges will be calculated from the date of
written notification of cancellation received by Alpine Retreat
- Châtel. Your holiday will not be cancelled by us 8 weeks
or less before your arrival date unless you fail to make full payment
on time.

|
LIABILITY
Alpine Retreat - Châtel accepts no responsibility for
events that cause delays or alterations by war, riot, civil strife, industrial
dispute, terrorist activity, closure or congestion of airports, ports,
train stations or roads, technical problems with transportation, natural
or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions or similar events
beyond the control of Alpine Retreat - Châtel. All
descriptions in the brochure that are made are given in good faith based
on information believed to be correct at the time. Every effort will be
made by Alpine Retreat - Châtel to keep it's brochure
and web site commitments, we reserve the right to alter operations out
of our control.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS, PASSPORTS AND VISAS
Guests are advised to contact the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO),
or visit their web site on www.fco.gov.uk, for advise on travelling to
France. All UK Nationals will require a valid passport no later than 8
weeks before departure. It is the guest's responsibility to arrange and
obtain any necessary visas.

INSURANCE
It is a condition of our accepting your booking that you must take out
a travel insurance policy which provides adequate cover for all foreseeable
risks. All policies should cover the entire period of your holiday and
take effect BEFORE the date of the outbound travel. If, in the event of
medical or other emergencies that the insurance cover that you have is
not adequate it must be understood that you are responsible for the costs
involved. We will offer all reasonable assistance.

VALUABLES AND DOCUMENTS
Clients are responsible at all times for personal documents, belongings
and ski equipment whether hired or not.
|
|
BEHAVIOUR
We reserve the right to terminate your holiday in the event that your
behaviour or that of any member of your party is such that it is likely
in our opinion to cause distress, damage, danger or annoyance to our other
clients, property or any third party. If you are prevented from because
in the opinion of any person in authority you appear to be unfit to travel
or likely to cause discomfort or disturbance to other passengers, we will
have no further liability to complete your holiday arrangements, and will
not be liable for any refund, compensation or additional costs incurred
by you. All damages must be paid in full prior to leaving the chalet.

BREAKAGES AND DAMAGES
Any breakages or damages must be paid for in full by you before leaving
the chalet.
|
|
SMOKING AND ALCOHOL
In the interests of safety, smoking is not permitted in the chalet. Wine
will be provided with meals, however we request that alcohol is consumed
in moderation on the premises.

|
COMPLAINTS
In the hopefully very unlikely event of there being something not to your
liking whilst you are on holiday, you should immediately report it to
us. We will naturally do our best to resolve any problems that you have
and prevent them from spoiling your holiday. Unless there is a valid reason
for not reporting the complaint to us, then we will not consider ourselves
liable in respect of such complaints. If you remain dissatisfied, the
complaint should then be recorded in writing on your return to the UK
and sent to us within 28 days of the completion of your holiday. No liability
can be accepted for claims not notified in that period, or if the claim
has not been notified to us during your holiday.

ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURE DAY
Alpine Retreat - Châtel ask their clients for their
understanding on Saturdays, when there may be an overlap between arriving
and departing clients. All outgoing clients are asked to vacate their
rooms by 10am on the day of departure, so that we can prepare them for
the incoming clients. Clients choosing to ski on departure day may leave
their luggage in the chalet but unfortunately may not be able to use the
facilities, as incoming clients may have already occupied the rooms.

SPECIAL REQUESTS
If you or any of your party has any special requirements you must inform
us in writing when you book your holiday. This is to enable us to do our
utmost to meet your requirements. However we cannot guarantee that they
will be fulfilled and failing this will not constitute a breach of contract
on our part.

|
FINANCIAL SECURITY
Your deposit and balance of the holiday cost are held in a business client
account at LloydsTSB until you return from your holiday. This means that
your money will be refunded if your holiday does not take place for reason
of our insolvency.
