We are located in prime mountain biking country. With chair lifts to help you go up the possibilities are endless. Ride the length and breadth of the Portes du Soleil and visit places unreachable in the winter months when the snow is thick on the ground. There is so much varied biking to do in the PDS that it is rated as one of the best biking areas in the world!
Châtel is also a 100% mountain bike friendly commune with a fast growing mountain bike slope style park – crucially maintained by a dedicated bike patrol.

They will take you to the slopes and accompany you each day ensuring you get the most out of your time in the Portes Du Soleil.
Post-ride (over a cold beer) they can assist you in our fully equipped secure bike store workshop with any mechanical woes you may have come across on your day of adventure!
Whatever your ability and experience rides can be tailored to suit your needs and ensure you have amazing days out – from a steady ride over to Morzine and a swim in Lac Montriond to a day of DH in the Châtel Bike Park, the amazing free-ride courses of Morgins or a day using the little known lifts and trails further afield in Switzerland.
The Pass Portes mountain bike weekend is a challenging 75km bike trek through the highs and lows of the Portes du Soleil using 15 lifts and the best trails in the Alps.
