During your stay in Châtel why not visit some of the splendid attractions in the area. The 'Chateau de Chillon' made famous by the poem 'the prisoner of Chillon' written in 1816 by Lord Byron immortalised not only Francois Bouivard imprisoned there from 1530 to 1536 but this most beautiful of European castles, majestic on the shore of Lac Leman. Lausanne is well worth a visit with its many art galleries and museum's including the famous state of the art Olympic Museum open all year round. It tells of the evolution of sport and games and world history over the past century. The historical town of Annecy is steeped in history dating back to 4000BC. Voted the most beautiful town in France it's a definite must. Set on the shore of Lake Annecy you can enjoy guided walks of the 'old town' all year round, a boat trip on it's breath taking lake, with cobbled back streets and flower covered bridges round every corner a day in Annecy is highly recommended.

With 6 different flumes, pirate ship, wave machine pool and an adult only area with saunas, steam rooms and pool side bar, there is something for everyone. Take the plunge at Châtel's picturesque swimming pool. Visit the Swiss vapour park that steam train enthusiasts adore with scale model trains and scenery. How about a boat trip on Lac Leman or a visit to Geneva, the famous home of the U.N.O. Or just simply experience local life at one of the many local markets.
