The weather in Chatel is as varied as any other mountain resort. Blessed with good snow fall over the past few years, sometimes even having to ship skiers to the Portes du Soleil area when other resorts haven't been so lucky. Late season skiing is wonderful with longer days as the clocks go forward. You can enjoy the sunshine and dine al fresco at mountain and village restaurants. In early April the Chatel area is usually found under a blanket of fresh snow - Great for powder fans and for keeping the piste in good condition until the end of the season.

In summer months the temperatures soar in Chatel making the village a great base for many activities and the out-door pool the busiest place in the resort.
